Fall Registration
Fall Registration begins on Monday, July 28, 2025.

The fall registration steps outlined below apply to current AUHSD students and students enrolled in the following schools:
- Canyon School
- Joaquin Moraga Intermediate School
- Orinda Intermediate School
- Stanley Middle School
- Tice Creek School
- Walnut Creek Intermediate School
All students are required to complete the Fall Registration Process prior to the start of the school year. The Fall Registration Process includes two separate items:
- ALL STUDENTS must have their online Data Confirmation completed through Aeries.
- 9th & 10th GRADERS must complete Residency Verification at the school site.
- 11th and 12th GRADERS who have moved must complete Residency Verification at the school site.
ALL of these items should take place between Monday, July 28, 2025 & Friday, August 8, 2025. Students must complete these items prior to participating in their site mascot day on August 11, 2025.
Students NEW to AUHSD (not enrolled in our partner districts):
Students who are new to the district and did NOT attend one of the schools listed on the left in grade 8 must complete the New Student Enrollment process instead.
Interdistrict Transfer Students
- First complete the Interdistrict Transfer Process
- After receiving AUHSD approval for a 2025-2026 interdistrict transfer, please complete the AUHSD new student enrollment process (see below)
- Residency Verification - 9th or 10th grade, Interdistrict Transfer, Updated Address
- Data Confirmation - All Students

The Acalanes Union High School District requires verification of residency on an annual basis.
IMPORTANT: You must complete residency verification if your student is in one of the following groups:
- 9th or 10th grade
- Interdistrict transfer
- Needs to update their address (e.g. moved)
Before your student is issued a class schedule, you must complete both residency verification and data confirmation.
Residency verification and data confirmation begin on July 28, 2025 and must be completed before walk-through registration day on Aug 11, 2025. Residency verification requires bringing the necessary documentation to your school's office, and data confirmation is completed online.
Students attending AUHSD through an interdistrict transfer, should provide their approval letter for the 2025-26 school year as your proof of residency verification.
To establish student(s) residence, the parent/legal guardian must supply a valid photo ID and two (2) types of documentation (ONE from each group below showing name and residence address):

Group 1
Provide ONE document from the list below (must contain parent/guardian name and address):
- Current Rental/Lease Agreement WITH the following:
- Parent/Guardian name(s)
- Manager or Owner name & phone number
- Verification of OCCUPANCY FOR 2025-2026 SCHOOL YEAR
- Does NOT include rented portions of a house or apartment or agreements formulated by relatives.
- Current Property Tax Bill (on line copies NOT accepted)
- Current Homeowner's or Renter's Insurance Policy or Declarations (not a bill/statement)
Group 2
Provide ONE document from the list below:
- Current State or Federal Tax Returns WITH W-2 or 1099 attached
- Current Payroll Check Stub WITH name & address (not a personal check)
- Current dated correspondence from an official government agency not used in Group 1:
- IRS/Social Security/Child Support/Foster Care
- Voter Registration/Polling information (if recent reg. in CA)
- Jury Summons/Subpoena
- ANY Current Document from Federal, State, or County agency EXCLUDING DMV
The District has no desire to see personal information such as amount of earnings, taxes or social security numbers. It is preferred that such items be inked out.
NOTE: If you cannot supply one item from each group above, you must contact the District Office as your first step. Call Student Services at (925) 280-3900, ext. 6629.
Data Confirmation - All Students
The Acalanes Union High School District also requires parents/guardians to confirm student data and emergency contact information. Before your student is issued a class schedule, you must complete both residency verification and data confirmation.
Log into Aeries PASS Parent Portal account (click here if you do not have an AUHSD Aeries account). If not taken to the registration screen, please click on the notification at the bottom of the screen. There are seven steps to complete the process:

At the end of each step, please click on the green "Confirm and Continue" button. Once completed, please click on the green "Finish and Submit" button. The process is complete only after you click the "Finish and Submit" button.
New Student Enrollment
New student enrollment is the process for families of new students to enter the school district. Please note that new student enrollment does not apply to resident students who were enrolled in our partner school districts in 8th grade.
Resident students who attended the following school may complete the Fall Registration and Residency Verification process instead:

- Walnut Creek Intermediate School
Interdistrict Transfer Students

Required documents needed for enrollment include:
- Current Residency Documentation
- Transcripts from last school attended
- Immunization Records - California schools are required to collect immunization records for all new student admissions, before entry. For more information, visit shotsforschool.org.
School sites will provide families with an enrollment packet that includes details and all required paperwork. After completing the intake appointment, student and family will meet with a school counselor to review academic records and schedule courses.
Pick up your student’s class schedule: Class schedules are distributed during the school's walk-through registration on August 11, 2025. Please check the school’s website for exact times. Confirmation of residency verification is needed for participation in the school’s walk-through registration. New students who enroll during the school year will complete this process through their school's Counseling Office.

Transfer Students
Welcome to the Acalanes Union High School District Transfers page! Please review the three options below and choose the one appropriate transfer type for your child.
- Intradistrict Transfer - For students who reside within AUHSD, but want to attend a different AUHSD school from their home school.
- Interdistrict Transfer (Incoming) - For students who reside outside AUHSD, and want to attend school within AUHSD.
- Interdistrict Transfers to an Outside District (Outgoing) - For students who reside within AUHSD and want to attend a public school outside of AUHSD.

Intradistrict Transfers (Within AUHSD)
Intradistrict Attendance Enrollment for 2026-2027
Any resident student wishing to request a transfer from his/her school of residence to another school within the District may do so during the Intradistrict Attendance Enrollment period. The Intradistrict Transfer form for the 2026-2027 school year is now available.
DEADLINE: December 18, 2025 @ 4:00pm
Applicants will be notified by January 20, 2026

Las Lomas High School is currently closed for transfer for the 2026-2027 school year.
Interdistrict Transfers (Incoming)
Students who live outside the boundaries of the Acalanes Union High School District (AUHSD) but wish to attend one of our schools may apply for an interdistrict transfer. Applications will be accepted starting February 1, and processing begins in the second week of April.
Priority for Approval
- AUHSD Employment: The parent/guardian is employed by AUHSD at least 0.4 FTE (not an at-will position).
- Partner District Employment: The parent/guardian works at least 0.4 FTE for one of our partner TK-8 school districts (not an at-will position). Partner districts include:
- Lafayette School District
- Moraga School District
- Orinda School District
- Walnut Creek School District
- Canyon Elementary School District
- Sibling or Feeder School Attendance:
- The applicant has a sibling currently attending an AUHSD school and will have continued enrollment during the next school year. This does not include former or graduating students.
- The applicant completed 8th grade in one of the partner TK-8 school districts listed above.
- All Other: If space permits, all other applications will be considered.
Important Notes
- Interdistrict transfer requests may be denied due to overcrowding, limited resources, or other considerations.
- ALL schools are currently closed for transfer for the 2025-2026 school year.

Interdistrict Transfers to an Outside District (Outgoing)
If you reside within our district boundaries but wish to transfer to an outside district, please click here.

It is the parent’s responsibility to obtain enrollment approval from the outside requested district.
