School Site Council

The Acalanes High School (AHS) School Advisory Council (SAC) is a vital collaborative forum, convening five times annually. It unites school staff, students, and parents for dialogue on school progress and strategic direction. The School Advisory Council reviews and provides feedback on critical school-site plans, including the AHS Single Plan for Student Achievement (SPSA) and the school safety plan. A central focus is monitoring and discussing progress related to equity, inclusivity, and ensuring all students have equitable access to resources and opportunities. Through this collaborative process, the School Advisory Council  shapes policies that enhance the educational experience and promote success for every student at AHS.

Interested individuals submit an expression of interest to the Principal at the beginning of each school year. Aadministration then carefully selects members to ensure balanced representation of perspectives, experiences, student grade levels, and the school's diverse communities. Selected members serves for one full school year, providing fresh insights and continuous engagement with the school's needs and priorities.
